EDLD5362 Week 5 video project for Chris Moore, L20249292

Below is a link to a video our department produced and released to explain the Garland ISD technology implementation strategic plan. I pasted the link here because I received several error messages during upload.

The first error message stated the file was too large for upload. The second, which I received several times, stated “We do not allow upload of the file type you attempted to upload.” The file’s original format is mpeg4, which is listed as permissible according to Tk20. However, the program would not allow me to load the original file.

This link takes you to the file, embedded near the bottom of this Technology page on our website.

The video was too large to upload to this wiki, too.

The video addresses the findings of an assessments committee charged with developing a strategic plan for the future of technology in GISD. The committee consisted of students, teachers, administrators and our educational technology professionals – many of whom have spent numerous years in the classroom and on campuses. Expansion and development plans included electronic data access, network enhancement of digital video services, increased classroom access, integration of digital devices, improved communication approaches within the classroom, etc. Fiber optics were key in making these goals a reality. This video documents the process and how it will continue impacting GISD education into the future.

If you have any questions regarding the authenticity of this video or my role within its production, please contact Reavis Wortham, GISD Director of Communications, at (972) 487-3255 or rzwortha@garlandisd.net.
